Tommie Ray Register

Mr. Tommie Ray Register, age 82, of Jacksonville, Fla. died Tuesday, July 9, in the St. Vincent's Medical Center, Jacksonville, Fla. following a long illness. He was born in Raiford, Fla. and resided in Macclenny, Fla. before moving to Jacksonville, Fla. in 1958. He worked as a tree surgeon for over 27 years and retired as a foreman with the Parks and Recreational Department, City of Jacksonville, Fla. in 1986. He was a member of the New Beginnings Ministry of Jacksonville, Fla., the Woodstock Masonic Lodge as a 32nd degree mason, the Shrine Club, Morocco Temple and the Public Employees Labor Union. He also enjoyed farming and gardening. He was the son of the late Daniel Bartow Register and Daisy Harris Register. He is survived by his wife, Imogene Dopson Register of Jacksonville, Fla.: His son, Billy Ray Register of Sanderson, Fla.: Sister -in- Law, Lettie Register of Sanderson, Fla.: Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Friday, July 12, in the Christian Fellowship Temple, Maccclenny, Fla., with Rev. David Thomas, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Creek Cemetery, Sanderson, Fla. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday, July 11, at the church. GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, Macclenny, Fla is in charge of arrangements.
