Mr. Travis Jay, age 42, of Macclenny, FL passed away Saturday, December 16th in the UF Health Jacksonville Hospital following a tragic accident. Travis was born in Jacksonville, FL and was a lifelong resident of Baker County, FL. He was a graduate of Baker County High School, Class of 2000 and a member of Heritage Church, Macclenny, FL.
Travis worked for the State of Florida as a Human Resources Technician for many years and thoroughly enjoyed his work. He loved going to the beach, decorating and gardening. Above all, he loved to serve others, whether from his kitchen or by lending a helping hand.
Travis is preceded in death by his father, Harold Jay. He is survived by his husband, Vince McDuffie: mother, Sherry Parrish (Frank) of London, KY: son, Asher Jay of Macclenny, FL: daughter, Sydni McDuffie of Macclenny, FL and brothers, Corey Jay (Christina) of Montana and Bobby Suppies of Delaware. A memorial service to honor the life of Mr. Travis Jay will be held at 2 P.M., Thursday, December 28th at Heritage Church with Pastor Bryan Simpson officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 1 to 2 P.M. (one hour prior to services) at the church. Final memorialization will be by cremation.
