Mrs. Venice Mae Hollis, age 67, of Lake City, Florida died Tuesday, Nov. 3, at her residence following a sudden illness. She was born in Vidalia, Georgia and had resided in Lake City, Florida for 36 years. At the time of death she was working as a stock clerk with Walmart of Lake City, Fla. for over 25 years. She attended the Wellborn Baptist Church and loved collecting butterflies, sewing and collecting antique cars. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harley Chap and Queen Ester Campbell King. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Cecil John Hollis, Sr. of Lake City, Florida: One daughter, Jimmie Sue (Allen) Brewer of Dublin, Georgia: One son, James Ronald (Anita) Rewis of Elgin, Illinois: Three step-children, Cecil, Jr., Bridgett and Bobbie Jo. : 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren also survive. A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Hollis will be held at 11 A.M. Friday, Nov. 6, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home, Lake City, Fla. Interment will be in Corinth Cemetery, Columbia County, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 5 to 8 P.M. Thursday, Nov. 5, at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S. W.
