Mr. Vernum Lee Hodges, age 73, of Fort White, Florida passed away Sunday, Jan. 23, in the Lake City Medical Center, Lake City, Florida. Lee will lovingly remembered as Torah (teacher), a devoted husband, brother, father, granddad and great-granddad. He lit up the room with his smile and his words of wisdom. He worked as a bee keeper, commercial fisherman and Torah teacher. Mr. Hodges was born in Fort Myers, Florida and lived in Bonita Springs, Florida before moving to Fort White, Florida 17 years ago. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Hodges; his children, Randall (Elisha), Eddie (Amy), Jon (Danielle) and Christiana. Mr. Hodges will be fondly remembered by his 12 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and his sister Penny (Tom) Sattler and Mr. Hodges nieces and nephews. A celebration of life service will be held at 12 P.M. Friday, Jan. 28, at Isaiah 58 67 Ministries, 138 S.W. Genesis Court, Fort White, Florida 32038 with Pastor Jeanette Strauss officiating.
