Mrs. Vivian Ida Hughes, age 95, of Baldwin, Florida died Tuesday, Aug. 28, at her residence following a sudden illness. She was born in Baldwin and lived in Baldwin, Fla. all of her life. She was a homemaker and loved cooking and entertaining friends and family. She was a member of the Baldwin Methodist Women's Society of the First United Methodist Church of Baldwin, Fla. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ambrose M. and Annie Gardner Coleman and her late husband of 64 years, Burea Homer Hughes. She is survived by two daughters, Mollie Ann (Clarence) Wells of Lincolnton, N.C. and Ellen (Scott) Gordon of Baldwin, Fla.: One sister, Doris Thompson of Macclenny, Fla.: Four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 A.M., Friday, Aug. 31, in the First United Methodist Church , Baldwin, Fla. with Rev. Dan Search, Pastor officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery, Jacksonville, Fla. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 P.M., Thursday, Aug. 30, at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, U.S. 90 East, Macclenny, Fla.
