Mr. Wallace Maxie Howard, Sr., age 85, of Lake City, Florida died Thursday, Oct. 26, in the Avalon Healthcare and Rehab Center, Lake City, Florida following a long illness. He was a native of Live Oak, Florida and resided in Alachua, Florida before moving to Lake City, Florida in 1955. He worked as a line supervisor with Metal Products Company, Lake City, Florida for 38 years. He was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church, Lake City, Florida. He enjoyed watching western movies, building things and going to the Smokey Mountains. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Phliman Howard, his parents, Frank G. and Edna M. Meeks Howard and his grandson, Ken Baas. He is survived by his daughter, Pattie Jo (Kerry) Baas of Lake City, Florida: His son, Wally (Sharron) Howard, Jr. of Lake City, Florida: One sister, Lucille Powell of Lake City, Florida: Two grandsons, Dustin (Krysta) Howard and Cody Howard: Four great-grandchildren, Gabrial, Hayden, Daelyn and Benjamin Howard. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Monday, Oct. 30, in the Bell Cemetery, Bell, Florida. The family will receive friends at the cemetery before the service.
