Walter E Baggett

Our Beloved Brother, Walter E. Baggett, has gone to be with our Lord and Savior in Heaven Peacefully. Walter was 59 years old, born on November 15, 1964 in Ripley, Tennessee to Andrew and Anna Mae Baggett. Walter was a Cook/Assistant Manager at Shorty’s Barbecue in Miami, FL for 17 years. Walter resided in Lake City, Florida for the past 20 years. Mr. Baggett was preceded in death by Andrew Baggett, Anna Mae Baggett, Rena Ellis, and a son Christopher Baggett. Mr. Baggett is survived by his children, Jennifer Carron, Micheal Baggett, Tony Baggett and step children Joe Waldron and Jody Waldron. Mr. Baggett’s siblings, Mary and Tom Wyman of West Helena, Arkansas, Donald and Rosemary Baggett of Winter Haven, Florida, Rosetta and Barry Akins and Andrew Baggett Jr., of Murfreesboro, TN. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews who love and miss him dearly. Mr. Baggett’s Funeral Services will be held at Guerry Funeral Home in Lake City, Florida. Visitation for family will begin on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 12:30 pm and will receive friends starting at 1:00 pm. Services will be at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Richard Rodriguez, Pastor of Southside Baptist Church officiating. There will be no burial following the service.
