Wiley Talmadge Pitts

Mr. Wiley T. Pitts, age 60, of Macclenny, Florida passed away Saturday, December 17, in Memorial Hospital, Jacksonville, Florida following an extended illness. Mr. Pitts moved to Baker County from Tifton, Georgia in 2015 to reside with his daughter. He served in the United States Army, loved to fish and enjoyed cartoons. Mr. Pitts is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Ruby Pitts, brother, Billy Pitts, and great grandson, Ryan Davis. He is survived by his wife, Von Pitts of Tifton, GA: one daughter, Jennifer (Matthew) Lovett of Macclenny, FL: one son, Wiley Phillip Pitts (Tammy) of Jacksonville, FL: one brother, Lamar Pitts (Mary) of Tifton, GA: three sisters, Mattie Harper (Ken) and Vonia Hogan (Scotty) both of Tifton, GA and Illene Pitts of St. Augustine, FL. Six grandchildren and four great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services to honor the life of Mr. Pitts will be held at 11 A.M., Friday, December 23, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home, with Dr. Edsel Bone officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 10 to 11 A.M. (one hour before services). Final disposition will be by cremation.
