William Henry Hartline, Sr.

April 30, 1939 — November 27, 2020

Mr. William Henry “Bill” Hartline, Sr., age 81 of Sanderson, Florida died Friday, Nov. 27, in the V.A. Medical Center, Gainesville, Florida following a brief illness. He was born in Lancaster, Wisconsin and lived in Macclenny, Fla. for over 60 years before moving to Baxter community of Baker County over 10 years ago.  He worked for the Baker County Waste Collection and the City of Macclenny, Florida for many years.  He was a member of the Cedar Creek Church, an Army  veteran and enjoyed going to church and singing and coaching football, softball and basketball.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Lillian M. Jones Hartline, two children, Salinda Dolly Hartline and Jesse Ben Hartline: siblings, June Cheney, Norman Hartline, August Wiest, Jr.,  Patsy Rhoden, Richard Weist and Cathy Rhoden:  He is survived by his wife, Diann Hartline of Sanderson, Fla.: three children, William Henry Hartline, Jr. of Sanderson, Fla.,  Norma Jean Hartline of Glen St. Mary, Fla. and June Nicole Hartline of Macclenny, Fla.:  two step-children, Barry Franklin Small of Sanderson, Fla. and Alicia Ralph of Orange Park, Fla.: four siblings, John Wiest  of Jacksonville, Fla., Judy Park of Livingston, Montana, Vickie Thick and Freddie Wiest both of Macclenny, Fla.: grandchildren, Dustin Bradley Davis, Mackenzie Lynn Williams,  Savana Terry Williams, Hunter Lane Jagodnik, Amarely June Garcia and Ava Lynn Garcia: great-grandchildren, Landon Jace Davis, Maverick Ray Davis, Nash Eli Davis and Bryar Lea Parker. A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Hartline will be held at 12 P.M. Wednesday,  Dec. 2, in the Oak Grove Primitive Baptist Church, Baker County, Fla.
