William Bert Ireland

Mr. William Bert Ireland, age 60, of Sanderson, FL passed away Wednesday, June 24th, in the St. Vincent’s Riverside Hospice Unit, Jacksonville, FL following an extended illness. Mr. Ireland was born in Green Cove Springs, FL to the late Leland and June Archer Ireland. He grew up in Baker County and lived briefly in Jacksonville, FL before returning home to Sanderson, FL in 1984. Mr. Ireland was a graduate of the Baker County High School, Class of 1977 and worked for the USPS until his retirement in 2016. He enjoyed woodworking, riding through the woods, and spending time working in his garage. Mr. Ireland is preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Cyndle Cherie Ireland, and father-in-law, J.D. Yarbrough. He is survived by his loving wife, Cherie Ireland: one son, Leland J.D. Ireland (Ashely) of Sanderson, FL: one daughter, Cheryl Goodin (Matthew Pedroley) of Jacksonville, FL: one brother, David Ireland of Middleburg, FL. Two grandchildren, Mackenzie Cyndle Ireland and C.J. Goodin, along with a grandchild on the way, also survive. Funeral services to honor the life of Mr. Ireland will be held at 11 A.M., Saturday, June 27th in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Rev. Fred Raulerson and Rev. Richard Yarbrough officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 6 to 8 P.M., Friday, June 26th at the funeral home. Interment will follow the funeral services in Cedar Creek Cemetery, Sanderson, FL.
