William Norris

Mr. William Larry Norris, age 77, of Wellborn, Florida passed away peacefully on September 26, 2021 at his home.  He was the owner of Norris Construction and Crane Company for over 40 years until his retirement in 2014. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Lake City, Florida. He enjoyed NASCAR racing, fishing, western shows, golf cart riding and camping with his family and friends.  He built homes, set trusses and did land clearing. He loved people and liked to make them laugh. He never met a stranger. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mac and Leona Keen Thompson Norris, his sister, Maxine Schwarzbauer, two sons, Patrick William Norris and Carroll Leon Norris and a great grandson, Travis Norris. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn J. Norris of Wellborn, Florida; two daughters, Patricia Norris and Carola Redmond both of Wellborn, Florida; one son, Billy (Janice) Norris of Wellborn, Florida; three grandchildren, Ronald Norris, Brittany Parker and Jimmy Redmond, III. A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Norris will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday, Sept. 30, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Rev. Hugh Dampier officiating and assisted by Mr. Dwight Law. Interment will be in Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery, Wellborn, Florida.  Visitation  and gathering with the family will be from 10 to 11 A.M. Thursday (One hour before services) at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S.W W. Main Blvd., Lake City, Florida.
