Willis Charles Mccook

Mr. Willis Charles McCook, age 81, of Taylor, Florida died suddenly at his home on Friday, Aug. 4, 2017. He was born in Fitzgerald, Georgia and resided in Las Vegas, Nevada and other parts of the country before moving to Taylor, Florida in 1989. He worked as an aircraft controller with the U.S. Civil Service for over thirty years until his retirement in 1989. He was a former vice-president of the NAATS (National Association of Air Traffic Specialists) and member of the Masonic Lodge of Las Vegas, Nevada. He enjoyed traveling camping and being with his family. He was a member of The Taylor Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Lavice Godwin McCook and his parents, William D. and Myrtice McCrimmon McCook. He is survived by his three daughters; Cookie (Lawson) Rewis of St. George, Georgia, Kamala Rudolph of Farmington Hills, Michigan, and Kimbra (Keith) Lane of Glen St. Mary, Florida; Eight grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren also survive. A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. McCook will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday, August 9, at The Taylor Church with Bro. Mark Woods, Pastor, officiating and assisted by Bro. Jim Cox. Interment will be in Taylor Cemetery, Taylor, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 6 to 8 P.M.
