Mr. Wilton “Bobby” Barton

Mr. Barton was born on April 30, 1946 in Baker County, FL to the late William Bryce Barton and Myrtice Stewart Barton. He went to be with his Lord and his loving wife of 53 years and 7 days (as he would say it) on Wednesday, January 15, in the St. Vincent’s Clay County Hospital. Mr. Barton was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle and friend to all that knew him. He was known as “The good one” and was always willing to help others every chance he could. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family and friends and fish fry’s. Mr. Barton also loved putting together models, reading his Bible and sharing God’s Word with others. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Shirley Jane Bimion Barton, brother William Ray Barton (Gerilynn), and sister in law, Ruby Joann Barton. Mr. Barton is survived by his children, Donald Ray Barton (Wanda) of Macclenny, FL, Peggy Sue Barton (Jeff) of Glen St. Mary, FL, Robert Darren Barton (Pamela) of Keystone Heights, FL and Justin Matthew Barton of Macclenny, FL: his twin brother, Weldon “Buddy” Barton (Linda) of Macclenny, FL, brother, James Foster Barton of Macclenny, FL: sisters, Bertha Sue Osteen of Macclenny, FL and Melissa Knoles (Bill) of Waycross, GA. Nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren also survive. Graveside funeral services to honor the life of Mr. Barton will be held at 1 P.M, Saturday, January 18 in the Macedonia Cemetery, Macclenny, FL with Rev. Timmy Thomas, officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 10 A.M. to 12 P.M., Saturday, January 18, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow the graveside services.
