William L. Guerry

Licensed Funeral Director/Owner

William Guerry "Bill" was born in Lake City, FL and lived there for many years before he moved to Baker County, FL, with his wife Diane, where purchased Brinkley Funeral Home. Bill was raised in the funeral home industry by his father, Theo Guerry, who owned and operated Sherrill-Guerry Funeral Home in Columbia County.

Bill is a graduate of Columbia County High School and graduated from Dallas-Institute Gupton Jones College of Mortuary Science in Dallas, TX. in 1965. Once he was settled in Baker County and Guerry Funeral Home was established, he went back to Lake City and opened a funeral home location there as well.

Funeral service runs deep in the Guerry blood and he loves being able to serve the communities of Baker, Columbia, and beyond. In his spare time he enjoys fishing, traveling, and spending time with his family.

Brittnee Forbes

Owner & Funeral Director In Charge

Brittnee was born in Jacksonville, FL and has been a lifelong resident of Baker County, FL. She is the daughter of Chris and Stacey Dopson and the granddaughter of Dr. Gary and Veda Dopson and Bill and Diane Guerry. Brittnee is a 2008 graduate of Baker County High School and a 2012 graduate of the Mortuary Science Associates Degree Program at Florida State College at Jacksonville.

Funeral service has been a part of Brittnee’s life since she was a small child, spending her days running around the funeral home. Growing up around the industry it was a natural decision to become involved in the family business. Brittnee married Hawke Forbes in November of 2024. Brittnee has two precious daughters, Eva and Emree. In her spare time Brittnee enjoys spending time at the lake with her family, traveling and cooking.

Hawke Forbes

Licensed Funeral Director

Hawke manages everyday operations at the funeral home. He has grown up around the funeral business his entire life and has been serving in a funeral home since 2010. Hawke finds serving others in their time of loss to be his calling.

He is a 2014 graduate of Baker County High School and a 2018 graduate of Florida State College of Jacksonville, with an associates degree in Funeral Service. In November of 2024, he married Brittnee.

He is also a Florida notary public and has performed wedding ceremonies. He is an active member of the Baker County Chamber of Commerce and is currently serving as the secretary for the Macclenny Lions Club. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, outings on his boat and attending concerts.

Dana Forbes

Funeral Assistant

With over three decades of dedicated service in the death care industry, Dana Forbes brings a wealth of experience, compassion, and professionalism to Guerry Forbes Funeral Home. As the mother of owner and Licensed Funeral Director, Hawke Forbes, Dana plays an integral role in the daily operations of the funeral home, offering support to both the team and the families they serve. Her expertise lies primarily in administrative management, but her greatest fulfillment comes from assisting families during their time of loss, as she is always ready to serve in any capacity needed.

Dana is a Florida Notary Public with 15 years of experience and is a licensed Preneed Funeral Insurance Agent. Her credentials, combined with a sincere heart for service, make her a trusted resource for families navigating some of life’s most difficult moments.

Outside of her professional work, Dana finds restoration and inspiration in the natural world. An avid nature enthusiast, she enjoys capturing the beauty of creation through painting and photography. A devoted member of Christian Fellowship Temple, she has taught 2nd and 3rd grade Sunday School for many years, often weaving her love for creation into the lessons she shares with her students.

Dana’s passions also include music, fishing, and most of all, spending quality time with her family. Her calm presence, deep faith, and enduring commitment to compassionate care are part of what makes Guerry Forbes Funeral Home a place of dignity, respect, and heartfelt service.

Alexis Scheider

Licensed Funeral Intern

Alexis Scheider was born in Jacksonville, Florida and was raised in Baker County, Florida. Alexis graduated from high school in 2020 and proceeded to enter the United States Army National Guard. Upon returning home from training, Alexis knew she wanted to enter the funeral business and was thrilled to jump at the opportunity to work at Guerry Funeral Home. Alexis now attends St. Petersburg College’s Mortuary Science program where she is working towards gaining her Associates of Science in Mortuary Science. Alexis enjoys fitness and spending time with her family.

Jana Willoughby

Funeral Assistant

Jana was born in Jacksonville and is a lifetime resident of Baker County. She is a 1999 graduate of Baker County High School. After high school, Jana attended the University of North Florida earning a degree in English Education in 2005. Recently, she earned her master's degree in Educational Leadership. By day, Jana is an instructional coach and enjoys working with the people of Baker County.

A strong work ethic drives Jana, and she enjoys working and being productive with her time. She believes any time spent making a difference is time well spent and she brings this passion to our Guerry family. In her spare moments, she enjoys working in the yard, cooking, and baking.

Jamie Lee Bloxham

Community Liaison

Jamie Lee was born and raised in Baker County where she graduated from BCHS in 2011. Soon after high school, Jamie Lee married Trevor Bloxham and moved to Fort Hood, Texas where Trevor served in the US Army. They moved back to Baker in the fall of 2015 when Jamie Lee began working for the Baker County School System. Over the years, she has balanced raising their children and dabbling in various fields. From the school system to other local entities, Jamie Lee has always been involved in our community and has a heart for Baker County and the people in it. As the GFH Community Liaison, Jamie Lee’s role is to keep our community first in everything we do. The Guerry family has been serving the families of Baker County since 1982, and as our county continues to grow, Jamie Lee ensures our team keeps support for our community as the top priority. When she’s not busy as our community liaison, you can find her with her favorite people, her husband Trevor and four kids: Garson (10), Charlee Grace (8), Forrest (1) and Moses (3 months).

Tracey Miller Canaday

Funeral Assistant

Tracey was born and raised in Baker County. She graduated from BCHS in 2009, then pursed her AA from FGC and Bachelor’s in Healthcare Administration from WGU. For the past 15 years, Tracey has worked at Baker County Medical Services, our local hospital, serving our community in many different aspects of healthcare. She brings a diverse knowledge and medical background to our team with numerous certifications, licenses, and a huge passion for helping and serving others. In August of this year, she decided to branch out and step into a new direction joining our Guerry Forbes Funeral Home Family.

Tracey is married to Quientin Canaday, and together they have six children; Whalen, Blaikley, Addisyn, Haigen, Conley, and Hudson. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, working outside in the yard, being on their boat, and hunting. She loves shopping, home projects, and refurbishing furniture, but you can most likely find her at the ballpark watching her children play ball.
